Welcome to screenings4u Urine Specimen Collector Training. Our in-person course and mock procedures have been designed to provide you with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on training necessary to perform urine drug collections in accordance with the guidelines stipulated by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). The DOT mandates that urine drug collections be conducted in accordance with the Federal Register (49 CFR Part 40), and our curriculum adheres to these guidelines. After completing our course and five error-free mocks, you will be certified to administer (DOT) Urine Drug Screen Collections. You will also gain a thorough understanding of the procedures for maintaining the chain of custody, ensuring patient specimen integrity, ensuring site security, and maintaining patient confidentiality. This course covers: DOT regulated agencies Collector requirements Collection site, security requirements, and supplies Chain of Custody form completion Urine specimen collection process Monitored and direct observation collections Problem urine specimen collections and unusual collections Supplies that are needed to complete the DOT mock collections: 5 DOT Collection Kits - (We will provide these kits) 10 Federal Custody and Control Forms (We will provide these forms) Disposable Gloves (We will give gloves) DOT requires you to perform mocks on a live person (we will perform on each other) Certificate: You will be certified as a Urine Specimen Collector You will receive a Urine Specimen Collector Certificate
