Urine Specimen Collector

screenings4u has part-time, full-time, and temporary Specimen Collector positions available. Your primary duties will be to perform drug and breath alcohol testing services for various individuals and employers, including pre-employment, post-accident, follow-up, and random drug and breath alcohol screenings.

This position may require observing donors as they provide specimens for collection.

This position is responsible for completing drug and alcohol collections in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and non-DOT industry standards, as well as evidential breath alcohol testing requirements. These tests will require the collection of bodily fluids and specimens such as urine and saliva.

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision, ensure the protection and confidentiality of personal and healthcare data collected, provide exceptional customer service with a positive attitude and demeanor to all individuals and employees being tested, and maintain at least a 98% Quality Assurance (QA) rate for all tests performed.

The ideal candidate will have the flexibility to work various hours, which will be scheduled in advance, to meet the employer's needs. Employees may also be asked to perform other tasks around our facility, such as administrative duties, inventory management, and making phone calls to businesses, employers, and donors. Customer service skills are a must.

The pay for this position is up to $25.85 per hour. If you do not have experience as a Specimen Collector, the starting salary is $18.75 an hour. Experience means you have a Specimen Collector certificate and have performed urine specimen collections at a verifiable previous place of employment.

If you don't have experience and we consider you a candidate, we will provide two (2) days of unpaid training. You will not be required to perform work duties during this training, and you will not receive a certificate.

If we determine you are a good candidate after training, we will offer you a position as a Specimen Collector.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Professional and authoritative presence

  • Must have basic computer skills, such as logging in, sending emails, and navigating a computer

  • Microsoft 365 Experience

  • Customer service skills

  • Strong Written Skills

  • Strong Oral Skills

  • Phone Etiquette

 

Optional requirements that may be useful:

A reliable vehicle to travel to various locations if needed. We will provide access to a laptop and printer for traveling purposes.

Pay: $18.75 - $25.85 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
