Step 03
Prepare for Testing
When you arrive, bring a valid photo ID and your donor pass. Our team ensures a calm, professional experience from check-in to completion.
Before Your Test
- Arrive at the testing location at least 15 minutes early to complete check-in.
- Ensure you have a valid government-issued photo ID and your digital or printed test order.
- Stay hydrated throughout the day, but avoid excessive fluid intake immediately before your test.
- Observe all specific preparation instructions provided by your employer or the court.
- Avoid any products or actions that could be interpreted as sample tampering or interference.
What NOT to do:
To ensure your results remain accurate and compliant, please do not attempt to substitute, dilute, or alter your sample in any way. Any form of tampering is strictly prohibited and can lead to automatic failure or serious professional consequences.
During Your Test
When you arrive, our priority is to make the process simple and stress-free. You'll begin with a quick check-in where a technician will verify your identity using your photo ID and the digital donor pass sent to your email.
The collection itself is straightforward and conducted with the utmost privacy. Depending on your specific test, we may collect a sample of urine, hair, oral fluid, or breath using non-technical, participant-friendly methods.
Finally, we use a standard 'Chain of Custody' process to ensure your test remains secure. Your sample is sealed in your presence and documented carefully before being sent to our accredited laboratory for processing.
After Your Test
Once your collection is complete, you can rest easy. Your samples are securely transported to our accredited laboratory for processing, which typically takes 24 to 72 hours. From there, results are transmitted directly to your employer or requesting agency for final review.
If you have questions about your specific results or the next steps in your screening process, we recommend reaching out to your organization’s representative. For any technical concerns, our support team is always here to help.
Frequently Asked Questions
Find quick answers to the most common questions participants have about the screening process.
Do I need to make an appointment?
While some locations accept walk-ins, we highly recommend scheduling an appointment through your participant portal to ensure the fastest service and guaranteed availability.
What documents should I bring to the collection site?
You must bring a valid government-issued photo ID (such as a driver's license or passport) and your digital donor pass, which can be presented on your mobile device or printed.
How long does the collection process take?
Most collections are completed within 15–20 minutes once you have checked in. This includes identity verification and the actual sample collection process.
When will my results be ready?
Results are typically processed and reported within 24–48 hours. They are sent directly to the requesting party, such as your current or prospective employer or the court system.
Can I drink water before my test?
Yes, staying hydrated is fine. However, avoid excessive water intake immediately before a urine test, as this could result in a "diluted" sample that may require a re-test.
