Service Description
A DOT physical exam is a medical examination required by the Department of Transportation for commercial drivers to ensure they meet the necessary health standards. During the examination, healthcare professionals assess various aspects of a driver's health. Successfully passing a DOT physical is essential for maintaining a commercial driver’s license and a medical card, both of which are required by the USDOT. A Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination must be conducted by a licensed medical examiner listed on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) National Registry. If the medical examiner determines that the individual is physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle (CMV), they will provide a copy of the results to the individual and complete a Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
