Service Description

All marine employers subject to 49 CFR Title 46 Part 16.230 must implement a random drug testing program for any crewmember identified as holding a safety-sensitive position.​ Crewmembers designated as safety sensitive include individuals who: Crew Members on Vessels: This includes captains, deckhands, and engineers who operate machinery and are responsible for the vessel's safety and navigation. Maintenance Personnel: Employees responsible for the upkeep and repair of marine equipment and infrastructure, as their work directly affects the safety of operations. Cargo Handlers: Workers involved in loading and unloading cargo, as improper handling can lead to accidents or safety hazards on board. Safety and Emergency Response Teams: Individuals trained to handle emergencies and ensure compliance with safety protocols, critical for maintaining safety standards in maritime operations. Regulatory Compliance Officers: Employees tasked with ensuring that all operations adhere to safety regulations and policies, helping to mitigate risks in a marine environment. screenings4u specializes in random drug and alcohol testing programs for Merchant Mariners and small, medium, and large marine employers. The current rate for USCG random drug and alcohol testing is: Drug Testing: 50% minimum annual rate for covered employees​ Alcohol Testing: 10% minimum annual rate for covered employees  You will receive a DOT Consortium Certificate at your email.
